So I just got done watching the premiere of Torchwood and...oh yeah.  It's good.  It's REALLY good.  I like it better than Doctor Who.  If they keep this up for the whole series, I'm gonna enjoy this.  I was going to talk about the hoyay moment, but then I realized: hoyay is subtext...in Torchwood, it's just plain text.

And then, to make me even more excited, Torchwood was followed by an episode of Graham Norton I hadn't seen, with David Tennant as guest.  Believe me, you haven't lived until you've listened to David talk about having farting contests with John Barrowman.  Wow.  Not what I expected as a conversational topic, but a good time was had by all.

And in other fandom news, last weekend I converted S to the Church of Heroes.  I saw her both Thursday and Friday nights this week, and she couldn't wait to talk about the show.  (She thinks the best character is Hiro, followed closely by Mohinder, but I'm willing to forgive that because she dislikes Peter Petrelli even more than I do.)  After listening to us talk, J decided she wanted in on the action, too, so I lent her my preciousssss DVDs.  Halfway through Torchwood, I got a text message: "Damn you.  I'm only 3 eps in and I'm hooked."  And then 15 minutes later, a second message: "My boyfriend would like to extend a 'Damn you', too."  Hee hee hee.  

Of course this means the second season is going to have to rock even more than the first, or they're all going to get angry at me for getting them hooked for nothing.
