I am almost in physical pain over the fact that there is now only one new episode of Life on Mars for me to watch. It kind of slowed down for a couple of episodes, but tonight...well, I won't talk about the plot since at least one person on my flist is watching their way through it right now, but I will say that I am just completely in love with John Simm at this point in time. This episode, he was just absolutely adorable - and just when one would think he couldn't get any more adorable, he almost kissed Annie. (Yeah. It's that kind of show. 15 episodes in...and he's ALMOST kissed the girl.) Which means, of course, that next week it will all come falling down, but right now everything's happy, dammit!

Also, if anyone is looking for a new quiz, here is one that will tell you which candidate you should vote for in the primaries. I...don't really know what to think about this. Actually, I kinda want to retake it and answer that I "don't care" about any of the issues. I wonder which candidate it would recommend for me then?

2008 Presidential Candidate Matching Quiz 

Oh, my. I sometimes forget just how much I love John Simm. And then I go and watch Life on Mars again, and I remember. Not only is he disturbingly hot in those 70s clothes, he's hilarious. And the show is a perfect blend of comedy and drama and action and car chases, and has one of the best soundtracks you'll ever hear and cinematography that leaves Veronica Mars's in the dust.  And, did I mention the criminally inappropriate dialogue, courtesy of Gene Hunt?

BBC America is not stupid. Next week, the networks start running out of first-run programming due to the writers' strike.  The week after that? Season 2 of Life on Mars premieres.  Mmmm.  John Simm.  You think shirtless Sylar is hot?  You should see Detective Inspector Sam Tyler handcuffed to his bed.
