I hope everyone had a good Hallowe'en!  Last night we went to a party held by a friend-of-a-friend who lives about 10 blocks from me.  I was a witch: green-and-black wig, iridescent green pointy hat with feathers in it, black top with giant bell sleeves, green skirt with iridescent sparkles, and fake fingernails that glowed in the dark.  S was Morticia Adams, and looked absolutely gorgeous, though she almost had to be rolled into the car because she couldn't move her legs much in the dress.  Boyfriend was a redneck samurai named Cletus-san, and E was some kind of dark Satanic priest with black robe and skull makeup.  Why am I describing things in detail?  Because none of us took pictures, that's why.  We like our fail!  Yes, we do!

Of course, since I had several glasses of wine at the party, I then slept poorly and am half-zombified today.  Right now I'm watching Boyfriend play Disgaea 3 while trying to decide whether or not I want to take part in NaNoWriMo.  And if so, what I'm going to write.  O, the fascinating life I lead...

The real point of this post though, is that I wanted to share with everyone an artist I just came across, who is [info]moonvoice   on LJ.  She has a deviantART gallery where you can buy prints of her work, and an LJ with icons of some of her work.  I adore her style and even though my budget is really tight, I desperately want to buy some.  Check it out...

Detail of 'Yuuwaku' by Audrey Kawasaki
Do you ever have moment when you think, "How did I overlook that before?..."

I was hunting for a picture to post for the Heroes caption competition at TWoP. And you know how the writers have continued giving Sylar and Peter parallel storylines and similarities, even though I don't think either of them even thought about the other during Volume 2? I just realized one additional tiny similarity in their storylines. In "Kindred", Peter is sitting in a vehicle next to his female companion, who's kind of in shock, and has to shout at her to get her to drive them all off to safety. In "The Line", Sylar is sitting in a vehicle next to his female companion, who's kind of in shock, and has to shout at her to get her to drive them all off to safety.

Does that have some great significance? Not really. I just can't believe I overlooked it before.

Also, I couldn't get to sleep last night, so I made a sketch.

Also, I should say that if you're looking for Heroes fic that's non-shippy, I would recommend The Self-Destruct Button by [info]fakeplasticsnow.  It's about what Isaac decides to do on his last night alive.  [info]sinemoras, it has imaginary snarky Ghost!Eden...
