These 4 icons of mine were chosen by drunken_hedghog(like, 3 days ago, but I've had several things come up and am just now getting around to writing about them).

(OK, technically, I suppose that since I'm the one who bared my soul, and searched for all these pictures, and put them in my PhotoBucket account, and inserted them in this post, I'm the one to blame. But I've decided that I am actually totally blameless in this. Besides, my bunk is soundproofed, so I can't hear anyone's complaining.) 



Oh, man. I swear, everyone on my flist is either traveling right now or has already been tagged (or, I suspect, isn't interested in memes). But I will tag aelora , nothingtosay , barhaven , invderlava , sinemoras , and ghagiel . (Yes, I realize that is 6 people. See my previous sentence re: travel/already tagged/not interested. I figure picking a sixth person increases the chance that someone will do it by 20%.) 
 

Oh, man. Today has been frustrating. Between being at my friends' house extremely late last night plus the annoying Daylight Savings Time change, I managed to sleep till 1:30 pm and never really got on track today. It's not like I've just sat here for 8 hours and stared into space, but I had a hard time focusing on anything and really haven't accomplished much.

And of course, rather than get up and accomplish something before it's time for bed, I decided to do a 20 Questions meme that croakvegas tagged me with. 



Um...man, I would tag people, except that in my current state of mind (tired despite sleeping late, with a burgeoning headache) it would take me half an hour to decide who to tag. So! Flist, get together and decide which 8 of you will shoulder the burden of continuing this meme and spreading it onward throughout the internet world.

Also...seriously, isn't the name "Aurelien Rougerie" just sexy as hell? Saying it feels like having honey rolling across your tongue. It's kind of like the name "Sendhil Ramamurthy"...say it slowly and listen to it, and you just know the owner of that beautiful name must be equally beautiful himself. 
 

Ugh. Busy day at work again, and this cold is dragging me down tonight. So I'm just now getting a chance to thank whoever sent me the anonymous box of chocolates. They were virtually delicious and made me very happy!

They were especially nice to get because I used to get sent "anonymous" gifts in school...and they were always from my mother. And then I became an adult and she started sending flowers to my work. There's only one thing worse than getting a big bouquet and having people come up with big grins assuming you've been hiding a boyfriend. And that's when you DO have a boyfriend, but your mother sends a bigger bouquet to your workplace than he did. I kinda prefer pretending the holiday isn't happening. It's easier that way.

Also, in the weird news department...I apparently like a hip hop artist. It's a good thing that "None Shall Pass" is available on eMusic, because I can't get it out of my head. This is a very strange experience for me. 

After seeing my post where I made the doll of myself, etoile_dunord challenged me to a meme: keeping one feature on the doll the same, make a Mary Sue version. So...this is the Mary Sue version of me! She is practically perfect in every way! Her hair is long and flowing and curls perfectly every time, she never misses a writing deadline, she never has problems getting the reporting done on time at work, she always knows exactly the right thing to say in every situation, and if Sylar ever met her, he'd be so dazzled by her intelligence and charm that he'd forget all about not-eating braaains! She even has her very own tiara! 


 

This has been a not-overly-productive weekend for me. For the last few days, I've been tensing up and having massive TMJ problems (well, it's probably because of all the stress and pressure at work right now, but there isn't much I can do about that). So I've mostly been concentrating on trying to relax enough that my jaw will stop hurting. That's kind of counter-productive, in that the more you think about how much you need to relax, the harder it gets to relax.

I did go over to ESP's last night, and we finally watched Stardust and Resident Evil: Extinction. They were quite fun and I would recommend them. I thought Stardust's plot was a bit predictable but its rather odd sense of humor made up for that. (Just...Robert DeNiro's character...man.  I actually made a snide joke about him without knowing what the big reveal would be and...man. We kind of freaked out a bit.)  Also, do not watch a movie based on a video game with a video game aficionado, unless you're prepared to hear an extensive discourse on plot changes. Of course, we're all geeks in one way or another, so there were plenty of side conversations like: where Dr. Isaacs was getting an endless supply of little red dresses and combat boots in the middle of a zombie-ridden desert for all his Alice clones. Seriously, man. Wouldn't it have been easier to take them off and clean them up for the next clone? I'm just trying to be practical, here.

I also stole this TV show meme from croakvegas . It was actually rather hard to set up, as some of my favorite shows have keywords that are just too obvious, while others had ones that were just too hard to figure out, so I had to discard a few of my first choices.  And, man...making up this list really made me realize how much British TV I watch.

Well. I told myself that I would check my email very quickly and then do my nails. (Which, I am not sure about, because this year I've been very heavy on about 3 different shades of coppery brown but today I decided to do "So Poppy" which is redredred. I may have to change what I was going to wear tonight.) And of course my resolve to stay offline only lasted till I got the first coat of polish on because OMG, LiveJournal is RIGHT HERE and I can't do anything else till the polish dries, right? So...here I am with a test/meme/thingy taken from aelora which is actually fairly accurate with both the positive and the negative personality traits. 


 

So.  That meme that's been going around.  As I told K, I was going to do it about a week ago, and I got all the pictures, and uploaded them to Photobucket, and typed up the whole post, aaaaaaand then the browser crashed on me and I lost the whole thing.  And I plunged into a morass of anger and despair.  Either that, or my lunch hour was over; I'm not sure which.  At any rate, K informed me that I needed to post it all anyway.  So I sacrified another 20 minutes of my life to type it up.  (I suppose it could have been worse.  I could have been forced to watch "Fight or Flight" again.)
