I love my family, but...

Detail of 'Yuuwaku' by Audrey Kawasaki
I cannot wait to get back home Monday night. I am at my parents' house, typing this on a computer so old it runs on Windows 95. And high-speed internet? Ha! They've never even heard of it out here. Plus, last night, I got to have an extended conversation in which I was told that: the reason Heroes sucked is that it has too many characters, and the reason Jericho sucked is that it had too many characters (and I was cut off when I tried to explain Hawkins' storyline), and David Tennant is a horrible actor, and the fact that I'm looking forward to Torchwood is creepy because that guy kisses men, and--OK, I'm just going to shut up before I get irritated all over again. Family is far, far easier to deal with when you're far away and can just hang up the phone when you get irritated with the conversation.

Just so I'm not whining for the whole post: I realized at the airport that I have kind of odd tastes. These are the magazines I had stuffed in my manpurse to read on the flights:

Game Informer
Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine
Z!nk (Yes, I took it with me. Shut up)

You know, with Windows 95 and no CD players, perhaps you did not so much travel to Ohio as to 1997. Of course there were CD players then. Then I thought I could have said 87 instead of 97... but how would they have Windows 95? And such was the conundrum that killed my joke.

And such was the conundrum that killed my joke.

That's OK, as my brain is too traumatized to be able to comprehend any kind of joke at the moment anyway. 21 hours, and I shall be home...21 hours, and I shall be home...
