Man. Do you want to know how sucky my afternoon was at work? I was so spazzed out when I left, I looked in the back seat of my car and went, "WHAT'S THAT???" It was my snow shovel. Which I've known was in there for over a week. Oy.
But all is better because I'm now smack in the middle of series 2 of Life on Mars on BBC America. And...oh, man. I'm already liking it. Any episode that starts with John Simm waking up half-naked in bed is always good. Going back to my main obsession of Heroes: this is how you do a season opener, guys. There's been a bit of clunky repeat of the main narrative themes from last year, which helped new viewers get a sense of them but was not unbearable for old fans. That was all over within 10 minutes. And now, we're right into the action and I'm totally engrossed in what's going on. Awwww. John Simm does the most adorable "I'm admitting I love you" look. And the most adorable "Oh SHIT" look. And the woman hanging around with him is not fondling him, not simperingly stupid and doesn't have the world's fakest Oirish "accent". This show is so made of win.
