My journal. Yes.
:: "fuzzy romance and brutal terror" : apparently, I can get behind that ::
Despite the nostalgia factor, I don't even know what to say to this.

Well, as other people have pointed out, there really isn't much else on. But it boggled my mind. I was too tired to ask her where she heard this: was NBC trumpeting it, hoping that some of the "magic" of Heroes would rub off on the show?

Yuck. I refuse to watch that show :P

My brother and I used to watch the original one on Saturday nights while waiting for Doctor Who to come on. Good cheesy fun. I just can't believe that its ratings are being compared to Heroes'...

Ahahahahahaha!!! *wipes tears*

I remember loving American Gladiators back in the day when there was no term for 'reality TV'.

I wonder what Tim Kring would say if he heard this?...

I grew up on out in the country and didn't get a driver's license till college, so my younger brother and I watched TV all Saturday night, and this was a weekly must-see for us. But then, we were teenagers who didn't have satellite or cable. I did watch the premiere of the new one with held_enthrall and we kept going "remember when...", but the memories weren't enough to make me remember to watch it again this week.

Well, there is, literally, Nothing Else On.

I hear the Sarah Connor Chronicles had the highest premiere rating for any tv show in the past three years ^^

...Interesting. I have to admit, I wasn't horribly impressed by the commercials and clips I'd seen.

I have no idea how compelling Jericho's storyline will be, but I'm really hoping that the Nothing Else On factor helps its ratings. Which, of course, doesn't guarantee that it would get another order for after the strike's resolved, but it would at least make it more likely.

Well, from what I've heard (from my brother, who has high standards), though the premiere of SCC was decent, the second episode was killer. I've only seen about halfway through the first, and I'm impressed enough to keep watching.

I think after the strike the networks will be grasping for any shows with guaranteed viewership. Last time there was a strike, general television viewing dropped by a heck of a lot.

I have to admit that I haven't touched my TV since the strike. But this does not surprise me. The thing with reality TV is that people get bored quickly and not many people buy the box sets for reality shows so still, loss for NBC.
