Digital Blasphemy - "Cobalt Daisy"
I didn't do it.

And now I'm off to ESP's to watch the Super Bowl.  Do I actually give a crap about the Super Bowl?  No.  But there will be beer and conversation and good food.  And things to distract me from the fact that I have spent more time sleeping than being ambulatory this weekend, and may have to work 12 hours tomorrow.

I WISH TO MAKE ODD NOISES AT YOUR CAT. Damn, I miss Garfield. I'm going to show this picture to my family to convince them it's time to get another cat.

Hee. Right when I sat down to answer these comments, he started making odd noises in my direction. (He grunts and wheezes for several minutes after his rest is disturbed, just to make sure you're aware that HIS REST HAS BEEN DISTURBED, DAMMIT. I tried giving him the same treatment, but he just ignored me.)

You never forget the cats who've gone - I still miss a cat that died in 1994 - but there are so many sweet little kitties out there who are looking for a nice happy home with plenty of paper to rip up!

Haha, your cat totally has that face:) And I hear ya about the much needed distraction from thinking about working overtime.
Have fun:)

Argh. I do not want to face work tomorrow. But I have to get it over with, so I might as well just get up early and face it. Because of other people causing delays, I think my boss would be understanding if I didn't finish the database close till Tuesday...but man, I don't want to spend another night tense from thinking about it!

I'd look to the cats for comfort, but I came home smelling like my friends' cats, so I'm getting the cold shoulder right now. :0(

HA!!!

That is absolutely perfect. And that really is his mode of defense when caught: to sit and stare straight at whoever caught him, as if that will somehow get him off the hook.

Also, I just glanced at that 'what's gone into my brain' list on the left hand side of this page and Y HALLO THAR NEIL GAIMAN.

I keep telling myself I need to go in and add more books to my listing at LibraryThing.com. I have three bookcases full of them, and I didn't even finish entering one bookcase. His online store is actually run by Dreamhaven Comics which is not far from my house, and I keep telling myself that I need to find excuses to shop there a lot to increase the chances that I'll see him in there signing things for orders. I totally want this poster for his story "A Study In Emerald". Have you ever read it? It's a cross between H.P. Lovecraft and Sherlock Holmes. It's so bizarre, I love it.
